Our Story

In January 2009, inspired by a global movement of Anglicans committed to the Scriptures and to historic Christian practice, and convicted of the need for deep renewal within the Canadian Church, members of several Anglican churches in the West Island gathered together in a school gymnasium, and formed Saint Timothy’s Anglican Bible Church to be a Christ-centered, Bible-based, and Gospel-sharing Anglican church plant in the heart of the West Island of Montreal.

In the years since, we have been joined by lifelong Anglicans, Christians from other church backgrounds, newcomers to the Christian faith, and people still exploring Christianity. We strive to be a community where people from all walks of life can experience the love of God, and get to know Jesus as he is revealed in the Scriptures.

Clergy

The Rev. Josiah Henderson
Rector

Pastor Josiah was born and raised in Montreal, where (through the witness of his parents and a faithful Anglican church) he grew up knowing Jesus from a young age.

He was ordained a Priest in June 2022, and appointed Rector of St. Timothy’s in June 2025. Before coming to St. Timothy’s, he served as a Curate at St. Aidan’s Church in Windsor, and as a student minister at Christ the King Anglican Church in Toronto. He holds a B.Th. (Hons) from McGill University, and an M.Div. from Wycliffe College.

He and his wife Alicia have 3 wonderful daughters.
